Join us for an exhilarating trail race through the stunning Col Denning State Park and the surrounding Tuscarora State Forest. Choose your challenge: a demanding 10k or an epic 25k adventure.

  • No Race Day Sign Ups, No bib switches or deferrals. No Refunds.
  • Registration is limited to a total of 80 runners between both races! Sign Up fast, and don’t be left out!


Course Details:

  • 10k Course: Don’t let the shorter distance fool you! This course packs a punch with over 2,000 feet of elevation gain, taking you through some of the park’s most iconic trails.
  • 25k Course: For those seeking a true test of endurance, the 25k course boasts over 4,000 feet of vertical gain. You’ll traverse the park’s highlights, including the legendary Woodburn Climb and the breathtaking Flatrock Vista. This course loops around the eastern side of the park, adding 15k after the 10k finish.


Start Time:
Both races kick off at 8:00 AM. 

Bib Pickup/Registration will be at Pavilion #2 from 6:45-7:45am.

Shared Start: Both distances will start together, and follow the same course until the 10k finish. The 25k runners will continue onward.

Course Information, Aid Stations, Cut-Offs, and Nutrition:

  • Aid Stations:
    • 25k: Mile 5, Mile 6.9, Mile 8.6 (Water Only), Mile 14.
    • 10k: Mile 5.
  • Cut-Offs:
    • A hard cut-off of 3:00 PM applies to all runners.
    • 25k runners must reach Mile 7 by 11:00 AM.

Spectator Access:

  • Much of the course is accessible only by foot traffic.
  • Mile 7 offers a great viewing point as runners pass the start/finish line. We recommend setting up there to cheer on your runners.


Post-Race Grub:

  • Embrace the “Half Ass” spirit! We’ll provide a laid-back post-race experience with snacks, drinks, and some edible treats. Think of it as a casual mix of a tailgate and the snacks a kid would enjoy when home alone
