Pine Grove Furnace State Park Campground
Ideal for race weekend—just steps from the start and finish lines! This scenic, peaceful campground is open from late March through mid-December and offers 70 spots for tents and trailers. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, and a sanitary dump station. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring, and some are pet-friendly for a small fee. Rustic group camping sites are also available.
Ironmaster’s Mansion Hostel
You can’t get any closer to the action than this. The Ironmaster’s Mansion offers bunkrooms and guest suites at budget-friendly rates—literally right next to the race headquarters!
Paymaster’s Cabin
Tucked into the center of the Ironmaster’s Challenge event area, the Paymaster’s Cabin is a cozy lodging option that sleeps up to six people. It’s available for rent all year through the DCNR reservation system.
Mountain Creek Campground
Only a 5-minute drive from Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Mountain Creek Campground offers a camp store, mini-golf, a seasonal pool, and plenty of family-friendly amenities.
Cherokee Campground
Just 8 minutes from the park, Cherokee Campground has tent and RV sites as well as seasonal cabins. It’s pet-friendly and great for families.
Mountain Creek Tavern Inn
Located in Mount Holly Springs, just 10 miles away, this spot is walkable to restaurants, bars, and some last-minute essentials like the dollar store.
